A matter of Priority!

Who's on the top of your priority list?

Allah is...I'm a Muslim :)

Later.....

What happens at night when you have an early meeting at work...and may be an important presentation to do?

Oh...I might stay up all night...and if I didn't I wake up really early, I wake up even before my alarm rings!

What if you have your monthly meeting with your boss?

I also wake up early...may be take a shower and dress up...I go to work before the meeting time and get ready.

Now tell, What happens when you have a daily meeting with Allah at fajr time?!

Oh...I set my alarm of-course...I sometimes make it El7amdulellah :) and others don't!
It's just that I sleep late and you know how hard it is to wake up early when you didn't have a good night sleep...I just pray when I wake up...
(some more excuses)
Don't make such a big deal out of it..
Inna Allahu Ghafouron Rahim!

You told me again who was on the TOP of your priority list?!

A reminder to All of us :)

It's Winter

It's

Getting Cold, huh?
just a little bit...expecting rains & more cold so0n isA :)

As Muslims we should say these prayers

When it's Windy
O Allah, I ask you its good and the good it contains and the good that it is sent with,
and I seek refuge with You from its evil and the evil that it contains and the evil that it is sent with

I Keep My Language Clean!

I Keep My Language Clean

It's an event created by a friend of a friend of mine :)
It started as an initiative of creating a change. Based upon our religion concepts, we should definitely keep our language clean!
Check these sayings by prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him :)

So If you wanna talk, ask yourself, the word I'll say...
  • Will it please Allah or not?
  • Will be written within my good deeds or bad ones?
  • Will it help me in my grave?

The event has 2 phases now...I'm looking forward for the next ones :)

Phase I: Keeping our language clean while driving

Simply: " Keeping our language clean while driving" because it's a common phenomena that people curse unnecessarily while driving.

Phase II: While joking with friends, I will be KEEN to keep my language CLEAN

"I'm against joking using bad words"...The aim of this phase is to draw attention that cleaning our language doesn't mean only when we are angry. It's a general attitude that we should all seek to acquire, even if it's just a matter of joking.
So, Even if i'm jo...king with my friends, I will be keen to keep my language CLEAN!! :)

And remember!

Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.

IF

I took this poem in school and I love the meanings that it holds.
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream–and not make dreams your master,
If you can think–and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings–nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And–which is more–you’ll be a Man, my son!

The Little Things

It is the Little Things that Make a Big Difference

There was a man taking a morning walk at the beach. He saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide was fresh and the starfish were alive. The man took a few steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that repeatedly. Right behind him there was another person who couldn't understand what this man was doing. He caught up with him and asked, "What are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What difference does it make?" This man did not reply, took two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the water, and said, "It makes a difference to this one."

What difference are we making? Big or small, it does not matter. If everyone made a small difference, we'd end up with a big difference, wouldn't we?

Eid + TA

Today is the last day in Ramadan...This year it went really fast!
May we all be accepted before the sun set...May we all have forgiven sins & fresh starts
May we all keep the same high spirit after it ends..
and May we all Have a really Happy Eid :)

So to the Next year insha'Allah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxPnuO7svJE

During this blessed month...I spent 2 weeks in asking ppl & researching about how suitable being a TA at college would be...and after asking 2 Sheikhs...I decided to give it a try and sign the acceptance paper.

I don't know if it is truly the right thing or not...I just took the decision with the reasons I know now...and I'm still in this stage of defining all what's around me...So I'm keeping this prayer that if it was the right thing, May Allah Facilitate it for me..and if it is the wrong thing, May Allah Shows me the right thing & let me go for it.

Telling one of my younger friends about this news...she was just super excited and happy...I know I can't describe how she reacted, but she made me this special picture :)

Thaaaanks Amal! :)
looooove youu awiiiiii <3

So, I guess I'm a TA "ila 7iin Esh3aron 2a5ar"!

A Transition Stage

Passing through a transition stage is really irritating. For 18 years now, I've been a student. Now that I'm a graduate, life is different.
I used to live simply without thinking a lot. Life went on. Short goals weren't such a disaster...I wanted to graduate and here I am.

So what's next?
I had this dream of opening my own business, where I'll be producing wonderful, interesting, educative cartoons & games :)
But, is it time? I mean I'm just a fresh graduate, no real experience and not even enough information or enough crazy people!
I guess I need to take some more solo steps before this dream sees the light.

I had this offer of working in college as a TA. I don't know yet if I'll take it. I'm still thinking about it, but till now it's probably a No.
I love the job, so no need to tell me about how awesome it is :) It's just that I've put myself some constraints in the job that I'll choose and I believe they'll be broken in this one.

May be I'll join some company, but given all the facts, it won't be my dream company :D
I'm okay with that, if I'm gonna enjoy the work :)

I had this wish in the past few weeks. I need a line to walk on without thinking...
A line drawn for me...that is surely the best (a)

So May it pass really fast...and May Allah give me the strength to handle all the change.

Last Midterms!

I decided to keep track of every single moment that is left in college
"The Last midterms EVER" thought, has made it quite clear for me that I love FCIS & that I'll certainly miss looots of stuff when I graduate insha'Allah.
It has been 3 days now (3rd day in midterms week) & I actually feel nothing..not a single different feeling.
but the fact that i know that those moments won't EVER come again, is what makes them special.
Here are some snippets of each exam I had & 2 lessons learned (not necessarily from the exam).

First Exam
As usual I was late in the morning...I wake up early, but I have too many morning activities.
I didn't read/hear about most of the subject; as i skipped some sessions & it didn't feel like studying!
Anywayz I tried to do my best in the time I had & El7amdulellah the exam went fine :)

2 lessons:
  • "You can't go back and make a new start, but you can start now & make a new end" [persistence]

Second Exam

I studied online wiz my friends till 2:30am & woke up @ 5:00am. I had a good feeling about the subject & -not as usual- I finished studying b4 the exam starts :D (Y)

2 lessons:
  • Studying wiz my friends is Fun
  • Even an exam could be enjoyed :D [if you wanna do it, do it wiz a style B-)]

Third Exam
I think they should call the subject Automata. Same old machines.

2 lessons:
  • Sometimes we need to write fast in order to have enough time to think :D
  • Documenting doesn't necessarily be text [A picture worth 1000 words]

Fourth Exam
I arrived 30mins late & the doctor told me that I'll have no extra time (her right :))..Thanks to Allah I managed to finish & handed my paper 3 mins before the time ends :)

2 lessons:
  • "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
  • Re-reading the Questions will most probably Help :D

Fifth Exam
I was super tired this night so I slept & woke up the next day...I always found that studying after fajr is the Best timing ever. I started reading from the book & the time was more than enough (we took few sections)

I wrote this on my room's wall b4 going to the exam

The main problem I had was writing my answers in the exam, but the day went on & the last midterm EVER was over!!
Still can't believe that I'm going through these moments..
Since this was our last exam, we decided to celebrate :D...we had looooooots of fun and the day was really nice.. :)
my friends & I wrote these stuff on the board

The one thing i'm looking forward to now -by finishing college- is having a healthy life :D

Feels Better

Al Salam 3alikom w ra7mat Allah w'barakatoh

A thought that came to my mind...
well it really feels better...Be Optimistic Always. It helps you think in a better way & concentrate on achieving more.

As you sow...

So Shall you reap :)

So make sure you are sowing the right seeds!
This applies on MOST of the aspects of our life.

If you are studying...then, As you sow (study & work hard) so shall you reap (knowledge).
If you are working...then, As you sow (Do your work/research) so shall you reap (get output).
just by living...As we sow (worship Allah with all of its meanings of working, praying.....) so shall we reap (By entering paradise insha'Allah)

If you are faced with people who are spreading negative energy. Try not to get affected by them.
you need all the positive feelings to go on.

yesss!! you can do it!
Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.
and you can do ANYTHING if you are determined enough.

Remember...
Attitude is contagious...Is yours worth catching??!

yes it's just like this image. You smile at your friend, he smiles back at you...even if he doesn't really feel like smiling!
Watch your attitude. The only difference between a good day and a bad one is your attitude!

If you are faced by a problem...It's okay..actually it is more than okay :D
It a chance for you to do YOUR BEST :)
So now whenever you're faced by a problem, just do your best :)

last but not least...

People rarely succeed UNLESS they have FUN in what they are doing

It's one thought that leads to another...

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become your character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
